Tim the Wonder Dog!

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

A previous girlfriend had found him wandering around a local pound. The people dropping him off didn’t have the fee required to leave a pet with the humane society, and my friend drove up just in time to rescue the dog. He was an underweight, matted, flea ridden Maltese named Balto. She took him home, bathed him, clipped buy Claritin online him, fed him, loved him and rx cialis low price then drove him over to our house in a dog carriers totes. We loved him immediately. We changed his name to TIM after a “what shall we name him?” session with our grown sons. Finally, quoting a favorite line from Monty Python’s “Search for the Holy Grail” we settled on….”They call me….TIM!” Tim it is!

Maybe it’s his little under bite that makes him look so non-fierce, or his shaggy fur covering his eyes, but the name fits him perfectly. We had it engraved on his little metal name tag that goes on his collar. It has been over five years since we picked Tim up. He is a dog that acts like a cat. He’s not hyper, he doesn’t jump up on you (unless he really, really, really needs to go outside!), he doesn’t like to play fetch, and he really dislikes foods like Cheetos, but loves to eat popcorn! We have to make sure we keep the food secure in a pet food storage bin though. He even turns down the free milk bone that the bank tries to give him at the drive-up.

My parents cialis delivery supplier recently cialis without prescription moved in with us, and my dad has assumed the task of taking Tim out. They make a quick run to the post office in the morning to check the mail together. Tim goes inside with my dad. No one ever questions or aks him to keep the canine out. Tim’s cute, sweet, clean and adorable, and raises a smile wherever he goes. When they head off to their room to nap, Tim goes with them, and you will find him nestled between them snoozing. He’s the best online buy without prescription cheap Camagra dog we’ve ever had and I truly believe he was meant to be with our family. Sometimes I don’t think we rescued him as much as he rescued us right back. He brings joy and laughter to our lives every single day, just by being Tim.

It’s strange sometimes to think of how much a part of the family Cody is, but I suppose it doesn’t matter if we treat him better than some of our friends – after all, he’s our responsibility, and he repays us with joy and love that’s hard to get anywhere else.

Dogs and Overeating

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

I have owned over five pugs in my life, each with their own unique pesonalities and each saved from possible death. Every one loved to eat, would eat anything, even non-edible things, and had absolutely no appetite turn off. For grooming him, we made sure to get the right dog grooming shears too. Muggs was the first of many to be adopted by us; adopted from a relative at the age of three, because the owner wanted to put him down. He was so fat he could hardly walk after being fed as much food as he wanted, which was everything he saw! Rikki was also adopted at age 3, from the pound where he had been found begging for food from a local fast-food restaurant.

Maggie was also grossly overweight when we adopted her at the age of thress from a rescue organization for pugs. Rocky, another pound hound, where to buy cialis online was seven or eight, with a bad case of heartworm and a collapsing trachea. Also from the pound came blind Tinkerbell, with a dislocated hip from being mounted by a large male. The hip had been uncared for. Her blindness came from dry eye which Camagra buy without prescription online cheap was never addressed. She was mainly a dog breeder. Maggie and Tinkerbell cialis are still with me. They love to sleep on their small dog beds! Muggs, Rocky and Rikki look down from doggie heaven, remembering the wonderful life they ended up with after a bad beginning. They allhad eaten top notch food, recieved the most love and companionship as well as healthcare.

The one thing that they weren’t allowed to get was all the food they wanted, because then they would have exploded! I will never forget Muggs eating an entire hambone after Easter dinner, which in my inexperience I had given him to gnaw on. Do not ever do buy Arimidex online that! He ate the whole thing and was sick for a week, during which time I had to promise the vet not to feed him anything but water for a few days. It was hard but I did it, and learned a valuable lesson. When Maggie ate a rosemary bush, she recuperated much quicker because by then I knew from experience that this was the proper thing to do with gluttonous pugs. Also, cleaning up dog hair from the couches is a breeze because they don’t shed much.
