A Glance At Discount Dog Beds
Sunday, February 5th, 2012Many individuals desire to be sure their family pet has just the right bed, but might not be willing to pay the (regularly quite hefty) price. It’s actually more troublesome to find designer and luxury dog beds particularly for outsized pets than it is to find discount dog beds for average sized animals. If you're not too fastidious about the planning of the fabrics being used in the bed; if your dog is of average size and weight; and if her bedtime routine are not too intense in the curling up or stretching out situations; you can save a large amount of money when you get a dog bed that's right for her.
To begin with, plenty of the more dear bed-makers change their designs just like clothing designers do for folk, if not as often. The changes do result in closeouts and canned items being radically marked down at pet shops across the country and on the Internet. Then there are the numerous pet supermarkets and discount shops who carry a range of cosy beds, in a selection of colours at prices much reduced from the luxurious beds available at upscale pet shops.
Then there's always the choice to go forward and make your own dog bed. If you have any stitching ability at all, (and for the main part, a dog bed is more about being comfy and sturdy than about looking wonderful) you can produce an average-sized, comfy, washer-friendly dog bed for only one or two dollars worth of fabric and filler material. Cut two pieces of fabric “it can be from an old sheet, a shower curtain, or a nice comfortable old dressing gown “and sew them together to make a pillow of the right size. Stuff it with filler material and you have a comfortable, easy dog bed. You may also make a classier dog bed with a higher ring by cutting a long rectangle of fabric and creating a tubular pillow to go around the edge. Then fasten the higher ring to the original base with hand stitching.
You have just made a snug, washable bed for your dog made with love by your own two hands using a piece of fabric you’d probably dump, a type of filler material and a touch of your valuable time. What simpler way to economize and take care of your loving pet at the same time? You’ll enjoy the process of making the bed equally as much as your pet will enjoy sleeping in it.
